There was a time when Wolf Blitzer told the news. He would go to the news and report what he found and saw. Sadly this is no longer the case. Now he is a spin doctor, the number one spin doctor for CNN, but still, just spin doctor. He doesn’t report the news any more, he changes it to fit his narrative. He is either spinning it because he wants to, or because he is told to, but spin it he does. Here are two examples that prove his personal distortion of the real news.
First, for the last eight months, we have been being fed a spin on the facts that had President Trump, colluding with Russians. The media has assumed that Russia must have influenced the election to favor Trump. The Russian investigation, while looking for wrongdoings by Trump or his team, has taken a turn to expose some wrongdoing by the previous administration, Hillary Clinton and the FBI itself.
How did President Trump change the subject or direction of the investigation? He can’t and Wolf knows damn well that it is Congress that is pushing for investigations into Hillary and the Clinton Foundation. Any of the investigations must look at any credible improper or illegal activity. Your headline that says :White house moves to discredit russia probe, Trump foes” Is just is plain fake news. To imply that President Trump is such a magician that he can misdirect FBI investigations and Congressional hearings by changing the subject, is deceitful and inciting. Wolf, this make you look stupid. You should report what actually happened, not a made up scheme that only the stupidest of your viewers will believe.
Wolf immediately went into a statement that blamed President Trump for keeping some documents under wraps.
Releasing these documents was put off by Ex-President Obama until today. President Trump had to either officially put this off or release the documents. He chose to release them. They were not ready to be released. The FBI wants to redact certain pages and parts, in the name of national security.
Trump said: “I am ordering today that the veil finally be lifted. At the same time, executive departments and agencies have proposed to me that certain information should continue to be redacted because of national security, law enforcement, and foreign affairs concerns. I have no choice — today — but to accept those redactions rather than allow potentially irreversible harm to our nation’s security.”
“Mr. Trump, who has indulged in his own wild speculation about the sensational killing, had expressed eagerness to finally open the last of the government files, only to run into a last-minute campaign by intelligence agencies to redact certain documents. Grudgingly, he gave the agencies until April 26 to go through the remaining papers again and make their case.”
Why were they not ready since they had so much time to prepare? Could it be that the FBI didn’t want the documents to ever be made public?
President Trump made a grand move to become more transparent with the American people and Wolf Blitzer took a cheap shot at him by insinuating that it was President Trump that was hiding something, not the past administrations.
